Ok, so she's not American, but Kim's 1981 debut single Kids in America, hit number two in the British music chart and ended up in the top 5 across Europe. In the US, the single peaked at no. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Kim has signed a new record deal with EMI Records and is preparing for the release of a new single this Summer.
