Not good enough, Gunners......

Finally this season is over for Arsenal...a season of maddening inconsistencies, disappointments and sadness at the deaths of former Arsenal players Alan Ball & Arthur Milton last month.

The team reached the Carling Cup final without relying on their star players, but were eliminated in the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League and were well off the pace in the Premiership title race - some players need to look at their lackluster performances and admit they've let down their manager and their club.

I sincerely hope that Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger will have sufficient funds to make some much needed team changes (according to Sky Sports, Wenger will be meeting with the clubs's paymasters in the following days in order to establish his summer transfer budget).
We also need to know what Stan Kroenke will do to the club, if he seriously intends on a hostile takeover.
Overall, another season which started with so much promise, ultimately ended with nothing for Arsenal - another season of "if only" and "almost."
Here's hoping the Gunners will be stronger in 2007/08 (and rival the silverware collected by the Arsenal Ladies this season)......
