Great morning on the water

Well I found where the fish are biting. Lake Boudreaux, near Chauvin. In about 4 hours, the 3 of us picked up 3 limits of reds, with several throw backs, some nice specks all around the 2 pound range , a couple sheepshead, some flounder and puppy drum. We launched out of Boudreaux's canal and once we entered the lake we headed north. Look for the tank battery's (you cant miss them). Start there and drift your way south to the high power lines. There is a channel along the high power lines that goes back toward hwy 24, not sure what the name is but every entrance into this canal had fish. We caught on LSU chubs, red fish magic, and market shrimp. The shrimp and chubs under a excaliber cork. Fish it slow. No hits on carolina rig. Of course it all depends on the tide, in which case it was falling. Ill be headed back out here Thursday and Friday. May try over around Dularge, Lake De Cade are. This weekends fishing forecast is excellent. If you look at the tide forecast for Cocodrie you need to add about 3 hours for this area. With the Atchafalya river being so high, its slowed the fishing around the point and in the basin, so spend some extra driving time and it will pay off. Like I say unless you go you will never know. Again good luck to everyone and be safe. My camera phone is terrible, but you can see in the picture how clear the water looks.
