Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren.
It took 99 days for the FA to appoint Sven-Goran Eriksson's current assistant as his successor - and they had the gall to suggest today that McClaren was their first choice all along (when allegations are rife that the FA offered the post to Portugal manager Luiz Felipe Scolari last month)!
