I grew up watching Peter Graves as the unflappable and dedicated Jim Phelps in the "Mission: Impossible" TV series (never understood why such a character was summarily passed of as a lunatic traitor in the movie adaptation) – and re-discovered him in the classic "Airplane!"
A great legacy for a great actor. Goodbye, Peter Graves, you will be missed.
