Not another pointless remake (continued).....

Director James Cameron's "Titanic" looks like it's going to set sail for 3D.
Hollywood studios Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox and Lightstorm Entertainment are considering re-releasing the blockbuster in 3D in April 2012, just a few weeks after George Lucas' "Star Wars: Episode 1 - The Phantom Menace" hits theaters in 3D.
Director and franchise owner Lucas has confirmed all six films in the series will be converted into 3D.

'Titanic' may be re-released in 3D in 2012

I'm no fan of "Titanic" - everyone knows what happens to the bloody ship - IT HITS THE ICEBERG, AND SINKS!! All the human interest scenes throughout are mere padding, and in my opinion, "A Night To Remember" is the ONLY decent "Titanic" flick to date, anyway.

But alas poor "Star Wars" - I loved the original trilogy in my youth, increasingly became dismayed with the later "modifications" by Lucas, and as for the second trilogy: the less said the better (don't get me started on Jar-Jar, and the ridiculously early demise of Darth Maul)....

But I digress: I would have thought that "Clash Of The Titans" would be a stark warning that converting a 2D movie to 3D is a poor substitute for the genuine 3D films like "Avatar". This is nothing more than another exercise to get cinema-goers to spend their cash, and both directors deserves no less than withering contempt for their actions...
