And the next Chelski manager is....
From the BBC:
Chelsea have sacked manager Avram Grant after just eight months in charge. The decision followed two days of talks between Grant, 53, and the club's chief executive Peter Kenyon.
Grant sacked as Chelsea manager
So, despite finishing second in the Premier League, runners-up in the Carling Cup and one penalty kick away from being European champions, Grant follows the self-proclaimed "Special One" through the exit door and the Chelski hot seat is vacant once again. But when you invest as much as Chelski's billionaire owner Roman Abramovich has in his club (approx £578 million since his takeover back in July 2003), I guess being second is nowhere.
While Grant's "dead man walking" demeanour didn't help, I still feel a bit sorry for the guy. Following in José Mourinho's footsteps was a tall order anyway...
