Many happy returns to former glamour model and "Page 3" girl Maria Whittaker, who was born on 7th October 1969 and is forty years old today (damn - I feel ancient).
Maria was one of the most popular glamour models ever to grace "Page 3" in the British tabloids, and was named The Sun's "Page 3 Girl Of The Year" in 1989.

Along with Samantha Fox & Linda Lusardi, Maria is a veritable "Page 3" legend, and even tried breaking into the music scene as a singer in the band The Rhythm Zone, and solo with a single in 1990 called "Stop Right Now (Take My Number)". Unlike Sam Fox however, Maria's music career didn't take off.
Last I heard, Maria was married with two kids, and she has somewhat avoided the limelight.
Still, happy birthday anyway, Ms Whittaker...
