More luxury food..

Apart from the most expensive brekkie in the world, there appears to be a growing trend for dishes garnished with real gold and other edible precious metals.

According to one UK paper, Food Bling, a range of 23-carat gold and silver sprinkles and leaf, is now on sale at Selfridges stores across Britain. The sparkly flakes are flavourless and feather-light, so they can be used on sweet and savoury food or floated in drinks.

One can purchase either a £14.99 ($24.61) sprinkler, which contains 150mg of gold or silver, or a kit for £15.99 ($26.25) which contains two pieces of gold leaf, two pieces of silver leaf, each 5cm sq, and a smaller shaker.

Another paper has reported how Curry fans have added finely ground flakes of gold and silver to create the world's most expensive portion of butter chicken. The delicacy costs £200 per plate with a minimum order of three portions.
