Bookies have reportedly slashed the odds on David Beckham to be knighted by the Queen in the New Year, after he received the 2010 BBC Sports Personality Lifetime Achievement award.

I'm still baffled how 35-year old Beckham got a Lifetime Achievement award. But to give him a knighthood? Is the world ready for Sir Becks and Lady Posh?
