07/07 - five years on...

July 7th 2005.
Five years ago today four young men brought death and destruction to London, killing 52 people and injuring nearly 800 more.
As one of those caught up in the chaos while travelling to work on the London Underground that morning, my first thoughts as always are towards the families and friends of those who perished and suffered from that terrible event.
Which is why I was pleased to read the heartwarming story of Davinia Turrell, the lady in the gauze mask, who overcame her injuries. Its great to see that Davinia (who married last year and is now called Davinia Douglass) has recovered so well and looking absolutely fabulous. I sincerely hope any psychological scars have also faded over time.
