And the next England manager is......
So, hands up all those who think those tabloid stories about David Beckham as the next England coach is a good idea? Obviously a few people think so, since the odds on Goldenballs to succeed Fabio Capello was trimmed to 16/1.
Despite the fact that Beckham is not a qualified coach, and has no experience in club football management, respected Sky commentator Andy Gray supports the idea.
"I would love to see England managed by an Englishman," said Gray. "Why not try David Beckham? Beckham is there at the World Cup, he's sat there, he's learned with the boys."
Could David Beckham take over from Fabio Capello?
I can see the attraction - get a celebrity to manage celebrities....
