Obama's Kryptonite?

President Obama has told a rare joint session of the US Congress that he's determined to be the last president forced to take up the cause of health reform.

He said the United States was the only rich country that allowed millions of its people to endure the hardship of going without health care. But he has been under attack from Republicans opposed to "socialised healthcare".
Obama woos Congress on healthcare

The US heathcare issue is proving akin to Kryptonite for Obama. But I hope the President overcomes this challenge.

It is absurd that the most powerful nation on this planet cannot make available an affordable health service to 40 million plus of its citizens. Yes, our NHS has its flaws, but if I have to get a relative or friend to a hospital in the UK, my primary concern is how soon will the ambulance get to said hospital, not fret about the health insurance...
